I like this, but the crop bothers me.either have his head in frame or the chin? This seems boxed in....but the portrait is wonderful.I would be tempted to even add a slight GND to his face?

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

I do think it is framed oddly. I only cropped off some on the sides. This wasn't a planned shot. He was letting my wife & I use his studio lighting to take some maternity pictures and I pointed the camera towards him (away from the studio lights). He said I wouldn't get a good exposure so I snapped off a shot after bumping up the ISO. The 100mm on my crop body didn't give me much room because he was pretty close. I didn't really think I'd do anything with the shot, but I really liked the B&W convervsion.

Thanks for the suggestions.

The conversion looks good to me and if you had more time, i'm sure your composition would be much better.

Very nice. The clarity is awesome and the B&W conversion was well done.

I actually have no problem with the crop, I quite like it.

Failure is always an option.
