That pile of gear does not make sense to me. Why would you carry all that lighting equipment, and no tripod? You still need the manual? Battery tester? You're taking a water bottle to America?

You need to explain your reasoning for the equipment, not just show a picture. If we knew WHY you pack what you are packing, maybe we could make some intelligent comments or give advice. Without your reasoning, I can only say, I sure wouldn't take much of that on a trip, and I would take lots you don't have.

I'm intrigued as everyone else as to the need to carry lighting gear on what I assume is a holiday. As others have said more details would enable better answers.

As for the bottle, manual and spare batteries, I'm plain confused.

Also, why are some lines green and some red? Is that optional gear or something?

What are you going to take photos of, and when are you planning on going?

I'm as intrigued as the rest of these guys but I really admire your 'planning'--me, I just make lists on old scraps of paper of things I need to bring :)

I'm a little perplexed by the inclusion of the manuals and completely bamboozled by the water bottle.

I consider myself very knowledgeable about my camera bodies but I always have a manual with me, whether it be the printed version or a soft copy in my laptop. You never know when one might run into trouble and need to reference the manual and for the space they take it is a non issue for me.

Me thinks the OP isn't coming back to answer the many questions that have been posed here.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

Maybe he intends to fill it up at the airport, to have water to drink on the plane? That's what I do sometimes. :) I take the empty bottle through security and then fill it up. If we switch planes I repeat the process. Airport prices are outrageous. It's not like I can't afford to buy a bottle of water, but I don't want to encourage their pricing. Also, sometimes it's not so easy to find a place to buy a bottle of water.

Obviously this doesn't work in countries where tap water isn't recommended to drink.

Have a great trip!

Be very careful about what you take as hand luggage and what you'll check in.
I'd get a bag for the body + lenses and keep that with me at all time (leave out the water bottle!). Check the rest in (it's more or less "throw-able").
When in doubt, use some extra padded lens cases, because you can and will be asked to open it, and lenses hitting the floor during a luggage search is not a nice way to start or end a journey...

Some of my lenses focus beyond infinity...!
