So I'm sure most everyone has seen the "custom painted nifty-fifty thread," and I loved the idea but didn't want such a permanent fix. I found a local auto body store and bought a roll of 1/16" vinyl pin-striping tape, and applying it to the lenses took less than 5 minutes total.

It's funny to see... I did like the painted 50mm since I like the color white but being a hardcore car guy, this is similar to people running knockoff wheels with "Volk" stickers on them. I hate seeing that but it's a cool idea i guess. Hardcore L guys might make fun of you tho.

I have a theory... can we see some 100% crops from before and after the mod? I'm guessing the color and sharpness increases. Oh, and I can see your seam on the 18-55.
