Can the glass shielding the distance scale on my lens be replaced?

the distance scale on my lens has a scratch on it and it is an eyesore. Can the glass be replaced? On a 70-200mm 2.8L IS

Nope...can't say I do...sorry!! However, I'll keep my eyes open for you and do a little more research into this. There has to be one out there...the key is...where??

What is the problem with your lens?

I would not take apart the lens yourself unless you have experience with it or work in a clean room at Intel. You'll end up opening your lovely lens and having dust and hair falling into it no matter how clean you think your room is.

Okay thanks. No problems with my lens but it would be interesting to have for reference or if something happened in the future.
