I bought a 5dm2 a few months ago with the canon battery grip. recently the shutter button on the battery grip has stopped working. When I press it, the camera will auto focus, but that's it. If I press down as hard as a can, I can engage the shutter, but only sometimes.
I am just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

I would just send it in to canon, but I am living in India right now. And If I take it off, I also need to take of my L plate and Hand Strap, so I wont have a camera strap or way to mount on my tripod. Really annoying!

Suck it up, disassemble the gear and send it to Canon to get fixed.

It will be more inconvenient when you lose shots due to the intermittent failure.
