When I visited NYC last week, I was really uninspired to shoot something. I came across this store front that really drew my eye. Other than it being a famous brand name, I was drawn to the textures and lighting here. After viewing this photo in LR, it screamed to be converted in b&w. I wanted to do something different here and gave it a pinhole camera effect. C&C appreciated. Thanks! :)

Equipment: Canon 1Ds MK III and Zeiss 21.

I love the tonal range in this image and while I've never played with a pinhole effect in post before (and thus don't exactly know what to look for), I feel whatever you've done is working here. My only thought, and it's a tiny one, is that I wish the "Salvatore Ferragamo" signage was slightly easier to read -- the shadows are competing with the text a bit too much to my eye. Beyond that, I think it's a really nice shot. Great job!

PS - And you're right...the textures in this shot are great. I even like the weathered paint on the asphalt in the foreground.

Thanks Cafe. I can definitely work it so that it's readable. It's nice to have a another pair of eyes. :)
