Took this silhouette at a fire the other evening. Converted to black and white in lightroom.

Fantastic shot (both versions)!

Have you tried a closer crop to eliminate the fully-featured men on the right?

Great shot, but the color one does it for me.

Excellent shot, both work for me but i think the B&W edges it.
As suggested above, maybe crop tighter to lose the background firemen.

Excellent capture. Prefer the color-version.

I like them both but...

I think that this is a great image! However, I realize your desire to keep this image for your use only but, the overly-large copyright across the center of the image really detracts from its beauty. I also agree regarding the cropping of the men on the right. If you cropped at the trees, the image would be wonderfully framed.

Thanks everyone. I have started to work on a better watermark. I didn't think it was going to be that big at first, but it is. I just need to play with it some to get a happy medium. I have also received feed back from others say it should be cropped.

Crop it and loose the guys in the BG. Keep the focus on the silhouetted fire fighters. I really like the B&W version as well.

Nice capture!

I love the b/w version, nice! Great capture too. If this were mine, I'd crop it at the trees (and lose things to the right of the trees - this would draw more attention to those working the line).

I like his idea. It will make it look more intense since the people standing around will be cut out of it.

I really like the b&w.
