The tide was really high but there were more surfers out this morning at Seaside. I shot with my 1.4x instead of the 2x as I think some of the shots from yesterday were to tight. The young kid in the photos from today and yesterday is Taylor Clark. He was ripping it up!

I am digging the last barrel shot and had to do a double take on the guy surfing the boogie board.

What lens were you using?

That is not a boogie/ body board of any kind. I do not know what it is but that is very impressive.

Is it a fiberglass board? You can see the heel marks on the deck. Longboard, SUP, fish's, eggs, shorties...hey I'm all for surfing something new.

I really don't know what he was riding. His buddy was def riding a boogie board. It does look like the top of a styrofoam cooler or something. Here are 3 more pics of him on it. He was incredible on that thing.

Ha, that is Ryan Burch...

He shapes wacky boards. That is not a boogie/body board. It is just some freakish creation.
