Hello, I have a Canon PowerShot G1 from little time, 2 days.
In the pictures of landscapes, the clouds come out as of color magenta.
I use the Balance of White in Auto.
That I make bad?

It would be good t place a picture here. But at first glance I looks like improper WB settings:

Bright sunny days: the color temperature is pretty cold or neutral so that you have to compensate by adding reddish tone, the other words - bu using Daylight WB (or Auto)

Cloudy day: very cold, that's why you should set more compensation - Cloudy WB

Indoor without tungsten light: I would use cloudy

Indoor + tungsten: too warm(reddish), so that set Tungsten WB (add more blue)

Indoor + Flash: too cold, Use Flash WB (add more red)

Indoor + Flash + Tungsten: Depend. I use Auto or Tungsten.

Anyway, remeber:

Flash, Cloudy WB: add more warm (RED) to compensate blue
Tungsten: add more cold (BLUE) to compensate red

As to my G1 It seems to me Auto = Daylight.
