I've seen pictures of lot's of places like this. I always wonder, how many of the doctors and staff eventually became inmates themselves. I know it would drive me crazy to be around the crazy.

Yeah, it would take a special kind of person to work in a place like that for sure. I was moved by being there even long after all the inmates had gone. It still exudes a sense of sadness and loss as you stand in the rooms and think about all the lost souls who have been there over the decades.

It continues today, but I would be afraid to take too close a look at it.
