Well technically this was the warmup for riders participating in the Grenade Games at Whistler last spring season (09).
I arrived a bit late so I didn't get as close as I would have liked but with 70-200 they aren't bad.
I just wanted to see more snowboarding photos in this section so I thought I'd post these for fun 
I hope I get to go back this spring season (after the Winter Olympics of course). With my new 7D and more experience with my gear I hope to step up my photos!
I borrowed a buddy's 70-200 f2.8L IS for these and it was pretty much the first time I used the lens. Now that I own one myself I'm excited to see what sort of shots I can pull off with it
