Just got back from a trip to Las Vegas, my first attempts at capturing the Bellagion fountain:

Those are some fine pictures sir! I am in Vegas right now; came on here for some ideas. Unfortunately don't have the gear to get a shot that wide.

Fine collection. Particularly like the angle choice of #4 with Caesars included in the photo. I'll be there in April looking to duplicate some of your efforts and then taking all the creative credit.

Thanks for the EXIF.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. The fountains are still my favorite "feature" of the Las Vegas strip.

Probably shouldn't admit this but when the Bellagio cranks up the Andrea Bocelli, I find the fountain show to be oddly moving...

Beautiful series. I agree that the shot with Ceasar's in the background is exceptional.

Gah I REALLY need a wide-angle lens...

Awesome captures. #4 is my favorite; the angle, lighting, reflections, foreground, everything just works!

Thanks everyone, I was surprised to see so many different water effects. There were over 15 different songs used.

perfect shots.. they could be a in a vegas magazine

quick question. I notice by your exif that some of the shots were at 12mm.. going by your sig line the only lens you have that wide is the 10-22. Is this the lens you used?

because i am currently looking to buy an UWA and im noticing that (particularly in #4) the buildings are doing straight up at the edge and not angeled wrong or distorted. I'm on a 50d so im sure it would be a lil different but these are the first shots Ive seen at that wide angle and still have buildings look as they should.

thanks.. and beautiful shots again!

Processed some more shots:

@Doc Fluty: Yes, I used the 10-22mm lens. As long as the lens is level with the horizon, the shots will not have any distortion of straight lines.

From a composition standpoint, I really like the leading lines in #2 and the leading and vertical lines in last image of your second post.
