I searched the net and here to no avail.
I would like to add text next to an image, not on the image.
Then save it all as a jpg.
I am using CS4.
Reason is, I want people to be able read a description of the image and the price.
I have a smugmug pro account, and am able to post the picture on my home page, but there is nowhere to put a description.
And I am not good with HTML.
Thanks

You need to increase the size of the canvas, paste your image in it and create a text box beside it.

Increase the canvas size and add text to the blank area of the canvas. Image-Canvas Size.

Go to the "Presentation" forum section and ask about the html there. It's actually really easy, and it'll let you do some fancy things if you want to later down the road.

I just tried that.
Can I avoid all that extra white background?
I would like just the text to show.
Thanks

You can fill it with whatever color you like, but I dont think you can make it clear so that wherever you post it the background shows through.

Actually, you should be able to add a description on the image's SmugMug page with no difficulty - and you don't have to know HTML.

I do it all the time on my SmugMug pro site. Here's what to do:

Make sure you're logged in to your SmugMug account. Go to the gallery with the photo in it. Click on the photo. Just below the image you'll see "add comment" - click on this. Type your description of the image. Click on "Save Comment". You're done!

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

You can increase your canvas and then use a color picker such as this http://www.iconico.com/colorpic/ (external link) to grab the color off your website and use it on your increased canvas. Everything will match up nicely.

Im trying it now.
Im using Vista.
When I try to grab a color (Control + G), my Vista search window pops up, not grabbing a color?

Make sure that ColorPic is the active window.
Works fine here on Vista.
