Eye Fatigue

I shot a all day event Saturday some 4000 pics. I think my right eye was attached to my camera more than not. As the day went on I began to notice that when I was not looking thru the camera my vision would be all cloudy. I was wondering if anyone else has this trouble or if it was just me.

My eyes don't get cloudy, but I have some trouble focusing on items in the distance after using the camera for a while - I would guess this is due to getting older (I have to use bifocals)

Pretty much the same thing as sitting looking at a computer monitor all day long. It helps to look around and change your eye focus from time to time.

Yep, get it all the time Mainly in my left eye, ie not my viewfinder eye but the one I close.

I don't consider myself old at 40 but I sometimes feel it after a days shooting.

Bad back from humping the rucksack, blurd vision, arm pain from hand holding the 70-200 and more often than not, a pain just above the eyebrow from the flash hot shoe digging into my head. I have a habit of crushing my face into the camera:o Oh and neck pain sometimes as well.

I get the same thing. Takes almost half a day to clear up for me. I try and switch eyes every hour or so to rest the primary.

Glad Its not just me.

I get it as well.

Do you shoot with both eyes open? That can help a lot, and doesn't take too long to adapt to, if it's a new technique to you.

^^+1 Keep both eyes open and you get no fatigue. It helps to shoot short course off road from inside a turn where it's not safe to keep an eye closed, it forces you to get used to it.

I shot with both eyes open. More relaxing way to shot.

I will try work on keeping both eyes open for more of my shots. I do this some now but only about 10% of the time.
