I actually deleted a bunch because the ice was so blown out. I used spot metering and the exposure levels were all over the place. I think I need to think about exposure lock for the next game. Dave

I'm not sure of your settings since I can't see EXIF data, but with the mites you can still freeze that action with a lower shutter like 1/200th or less - and keep that ISO at 1600 or higher.
