Hi folks,

I have a Canon 50D and a 17 - 85mm and a 100 -400mm lens.

Which additional lens shall I get to take photos on my holiday in China ?

My friend suggested a wide angle lens ....

thanks

Get a wide angle. You got mid and long range covered already. Go for a canon 10-22 or tokina 11-16

How much gear to you want to lug around while on your trip? Your 17-85 is a good travel lens without switching lens all the time.

For wide angle a Tokina 12-24 or a Tokina 11-16 mm. (I have the 12-24mm)

I'm sure someone will enumerate about how we need to know what/how you like to shoot (and you really should clue us in! :) ).

I love my UWA (Canon 10-22); I can't imagine going anywhere for a vacation and leaving it at home.

Thanks for the replies guys

I am a complete novice starting out on photography. Ideally I would like a lense for taking photos of buildings and other fascinating Chinese stuff. I would use the 400mm for wildlife
