Pay Attention

When your out and about taking pictures, please be aware of your surroundings! This gut was out taking pics and sunk his SUV. He may even be in this forum. He saved all his gear too btw.

When I was out taking these pics there was a snobby Nikon shooter next to me with a D300, and she was gloating about how she had a 80-400 and all I had was a 24-105 L with an 18mp 7D. She said "thats an ok camera". I said, "oh wait, I think I'll shoot some video too" enough said!

I'm so tired about this Nikon vs Canon bull. I wish people could just see the light and shoot Canon. haha! just joking. Less gear obsession and more shooting would be better.

That made me laugh.

I also hate the war between each clan. I have a friend who bought an expensive nikon as is first camera trying to tell me how bad Canon was compared to Nikon without even knowing anything about photography. Both are great, stop annoying eachothers...

When I get them kind I just end up being pretty mean back =/ but I don't strike them about there cameras. I usually hit em personally. The reaction is better.

Sorry to hear about the car...

Just wonder how that SUV could be pulled out. The surrounding ice shouldn't be that strong so that the car fell in. Maybe the lake is shallow?

I see what you did there...

I was in Vermont one year on Lake Champlain. One of the locals told me in the Winter when the lake freezes over people sink snowmobiles and vehicles ALL THE TIME. The authorities pull everything out of the water (to avoid contamination from leaking fluids and such) and the owner is obligated by law to not only pay the fine but all costs associated with removing the vehicle as well.
