I'm planning a trip to the Philippines in two weeks and will be bringing 2 8GB CF cards and 2 2GB CF cards for use with my 7D. Should be ample memory, but in case I need to offload any of the cards, is there a portable storage device that can be connected directly to the 7D? I won't be bringing a laptop.

I would consider a hyperdrive.

If you are shooting RAW, you'll use that memory up in less than a week. Bring a Hyperdrive, or one of the Epson backup drives:

Either buy more memory or go the normal route & find a place like a camera store to copy & burn your images to a disk. There's a good chance that the hotel you stay in has a computer guests can use to do this too.

If you know what hotel you're going to stay in, why not call them or send them an email to find out. Another storage solution would be a couple of 2.5" hard drives. You'd still need to borrow a computer but they're much smaller than you laptop. Just remember to keep them in separate places for security. I hope you have a great time.

Hyperdrive or a netboook. Or, if you really want to be safe, both.
