Quick question, which of these two shots do you prefer, and why? Or do they both make you want to throw yourself in front of a bus on the Vegas strip? Haven't made any adjustments to either photo. Thanks!
*edit* please see crops in posts 6 & 8 before making previously mentioned suicide attempt :)

The first one is not good. It looks like the camera moved as the neon lights in the top right corner are doubled.

The second one is the better of the two.

The reflections are good, but there is just too much all around them. The distractions keep them from being great, IMO.

+1 on the too much reflections.

I think the 'rule of thirds' could have helped this composition. Instead of splitting the picture in the middle, could have moved the water/reflection in the lower third and have more bridge/buildings in the upper two thirds.

But it's still a busy image regardless.

I like the first one better, but it would be even better if taken on a tripod and if you included a gondola in the pic.

ok, did some cropping, thanks for the advice! Don't have a tripod with me so they were taken with the camera sitting on a rounded pillar while I tried my hardest not to let my pulse provide to much movement. First is cropped for water, second for buildings and lampposts. Any better?

Anyone know what time the #32 bus comes by?

;-)a

I don't like the first image at all, looks way over exposed to me. The second is better, but both look extremely busy to me. I'd try and pick something to point at, and stick with that, leaving out a lot of the stuff in both of these shots. (I know that is hard to do in Vegas sometimes, but ..)

Ok, one last edit, I swear! just cropped out everything I could on this one to leave the bridge and reflections. Thanks for the C &C!
