Hey Guys...

Just started editing some shots I did of my wife this past week in the snow... :)

Im a noob so let me know what you think... :)

This was shot with a XSI and a 50 f1.4...

Ill add some more as I go...

*edit* You know... this is getting discouraging... every time I post an image that I have to shrink it looks like crap on here... :(

What is the best way to post images on here?

Eyes are sharp nice image great contrast with the green I probably would have put the leaves behind her but that is just me I feel they are not adding to the overall look but other than that great shot.

actually, appears to me a little soft...and focus just a head of the eyes, colors look ok...placement of leaves and branch is poor, appears as though growing out of her ear

Concerning the photograph, I concur with the previous posts; your use of the leaves and the tree ruins the shot for me, even though her face looks very good on this shot.

Concerning uploading images, do you have a website or anything? Uploading them here doesn't do the images any justice, use a site like Flickr or ImageShack and then embed the images in your post.

Great shot, F/1.4 gives you a nice background blur. Keep shooting!

You must be kidding...I could count every eyelash and I can see her skin texture very clearly. Either get glasses or get rid of that CRT monitor  :D

The tree and the leaves need to be there for DOF... How the heck can a OOF tree ruin a shot... OMG the nonsence.\\

Jason, if I was you I would be printing that on my Pro 9500 and framming that baby...because it will be such a hoot looking at it in 10 years from now where your wife will have aged a little under those beutifull eyes.

Great shot and don't get discouraged about the negative side of this forum. You can never please everyone because everyone has a diferent bar of standards. To me I would give you a 90% on 100%. Maybe the leaves should have been placed further away from her so they could have been blured more...but who cares...I'm not here to look at the leaves.

Thx

My point exactly, the eye lashes are in focus, the eyes themselves appear to be just behind focus, probalby due to the verify narrow dof of the 1.4 setting... sorry, see what i see...

Yes great picture...but we all can improve and critisms is meant as constructive not as a negative

Thanks for the C&C and encouragement! Thats what im here for! I love to hear what people think! When I was shooting this photo I was wanting the leaves to give the photo more of a 3d look... have the branch come in from the back and sharpen towards the front... Now im not saying it was a good idea, I just kinda thought it gave the photo a neat twist... :)
