stsva Cream of the Crop  More info | Feb 03, 2010 19:39 | #4 As you can see, you get a really powerful "blast of light" right in the face with direct flash, unless you dial it down using flash exposure compensation. Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.

stsva Cream of the Crop More info | Feb 03, 2010 19:40 | #5 Here's an edit, dropping the exposure some, toning down the bright spot on her forehead some using a gradient layer (not a perfect edit, I was in a hurry and didn't work on getting her forehead more natural looking and trying to "fix" the off-color areas on each side of her forehead resulting from the rough adjustments/edits), "dodging" her eyes slightly for a little more color, and with a little white balance and contrast adjustment. She's telling you, "No more direct flash!" Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.
