Kestrel finishing lunch!

Here is one of a kestrel finishing up a meal, note the feathers in her beak! The bird she ate must have been as big as her judging by the claw left!

I absolutely love Kestrels. I live where they are all over the place. I rarely see them anywhere but powerlines though, which makes it hard for a natural background. I got a shot the other day of one with a mouse, but with the overcast sky, it wasn't a very good shot. I didn't know they ate birds too.
