for sure the Bronx Zoo is one of my favorite place to visit with and without the camera.... took my son there for the 1st time last year.

I enjoyed a recent visit to the Bronx Zoo too. I wish the tigers weren't behind glass though!

I was thinking about buying a year's membership actually, I picked up a leaflet last time I was there. Is that what you do Johnlo?

I'm hesitating because I wonder how just how busy it gets once the weather is warmer.

my wife actually purchased the membership plus a Guest. she did it that way, so she can bring whoever she wants. She's a school teacher, so when she goes, she will get in for free, and can have another person free w/ her. We have a son, but he's under 2, so he's in for Free anyway... Its worth it if you go a lot. I think its $100 a year... plus you get few parking passes. you can go to Prospect Park Zoo, central park zoo, NY Aquarium, and i think the Queens Zoo as well. we normally go on weekday (we both take a day off from work).. or go first thing in the morning on the weekend.

Sounds like a good idea and I can see how that works really well for your family.
I'm planning to go on weekdays too as I don't work nowadays so as long as I avoid driving rush-hours it should be ideal.

Great shot. Love the colors on that thing. I just bought an entry level telephoto lens and hope to make a visit to the zoo next week.
