Can a Domke F-5XB carry a 5D-II with 35L or 135L attached (hood reversed)? Space for a 580EX-II would be a bonus. Thanks.

I don't see a problem. I put my 5D2 with 24-70 hood reversed and can put the flash in without the hood.

Do you carry the hood for the 135L in the bag? Thx.

Yes, it fits a non-gripped 5D2 along with either the 35L, 85L or 135L attached to it and hood reversed. The 580 EX II also fits although, it's a bit tighter with the 135L, since it's longer than the other two lenses, but it does fit.

Here's a shot of the above, with a 135L attached, and the 580 sitting next to it, "bent" over the top of the lens.

Yes, flash is bent over. Works great.

Todd,

That's exactly what I'm looking for! I'll be ordering one shortly. Now to decide on Chocolate Brown, Ballistic nylon or Waxwear ;)

Thanks very much,

Sabesh.

Try Waxwear. It's weathered look is real cool.

Where did anyone see the Domke F-5XB in Waxwear color? I would like to get one of those (mine are black)! A very useful "minimal gear" bag!

I have only seen the F-5XZ Waxwear advertised, which is the much larger (2x) version of the F-5XC (also a very nice and useful sized bag).

I discovered just last night that I can easily carry my Canon XSi with 15-85mm, 70-300mmDO, and 35mm/2 all in that tiny little F-5XB bag! Wow! And the zooms both have their hoods on and reversed.

F-5XZ Waxwear. That's the one I have in Waxwear version. I have White House version of black 5XB. If 5XB comes with Waxwear, I want to buy one.

Howard & Jason,

You can get it @ Adorama:

I ordered the chocolate version just now as I already have the F-3X & F-803 in wax and hate the additional work they entail (have to wax periodically to keep the look: they don't fade nicely as the regular canvas versions).

Cheers,

Sabesh.
