I just tried something that logic says should work.
I put the Canon TTL module for my QFlash on top of the MiniTL1.
Apparently the pins do not transfer the data through from the camera because the QFlash had no indication that it was attached to a Camera.

I also tried with a Cyber Sync transmitter on top of the Mini and it works as expected.

It would be nice to combine the PW capabilities with local TTL on a QFlash, any suggestions?

Thanks,

The hotshoe on the MiniTT1 and the FlexTT5 is not a pass-through hotshoe. So, for anything mounted in the hotshoe to work with either of those units, the device needs to be a PW supported device. The Quantum TTL module is not.

Based on what I know, it looks like there's no way you can get a PW E-TTL unit and a Quantum TTL module to work together on the same camera.

Leo,
Apparently so. I guess it was too much to hope that PW would have a default state that permitted pass through. Then again, considering that it is is reading information from a flash mounted on the top hotshoe it is reasonable that there is circuitry in there.

I know that QTTL is a thing unto itself, but thought it was worth a try. Maybe one of those TTL cables with two shoe mounts would be worth a try.

Then again, the QFlash on auto kind of takes care of itself.
