A post on the "Talk About Photography" section detailed the experiences of a photographer being detained and forced to produce ID because he was taking pictures of a private office building. I found a web site which has a PDF document by an attorney which spells out a photographer's rights so that you will know and can produce a written explanation should you be stopped. The link is: http://www.krages.com/phoright.htm (external link)

I think we should make this a sticky because it seems to become a bigger problem all the time. I also intend to order the book which Mr. Krages has written.
