I shot i took last summer is currently on the main page at www.theglobeandmail.com (external link) which is one of the biggest newspapers in canada. they just selected it to link to other user submitted pics, but i still thought that was pretty cool.

it is a shot i wasn't really happy with due to the noise level @1600 on my xsi.
i'm sure somebody with some serious pp skills could clean it up a bit.

i don't think it suffers from noise as much as lack of relative sharpness.

yeah, you could be right. it also might suffer from some motion blur around his chin. it looks much worse blown up that big - i may resize it a bit.

wow, you've photographed a ton of my favourite artists for your portfolio--cat power, sonic youth, deerhunter, mogwai, morrisey, neil young, radiohead, mono, devo, my bloody valentine, the cure--super jealous that you even attended all those gigs, let alone got to photograph!

yeah, the shot looks loads better resized.

thanks for checking out my site. yeah, i have had the good fortune to see and shoot a lot of great artists. i wish i'd been taking photos longer (started in '06, and i've been seeing bands since the mid 80s)
