Sigh...is it too much to ask for more useful photos? Shooting that hanging glass piece is probably not the best way to test the bokeh out.

 I was looking at the sharpness in that one. LOL

But still, I think the lens has potential.

Just seems like such a big gap between 24 and 85. Maybe I can swing the Sigma 50. That's not so heavy and I've carried much more gear on vacation...like the 200VR and 3 additional lenses. Of course it killed my back too!

I'll probably bring my flash too. Maybe a tripod.

That fifty cant be that big....

My only concern with any of the TT Retro bags, including my Lens Changer 3 is the utter lack of padding on the sides. Otherwise, yeah, looks like a nice bag.

There's something about the early morning with hoar frost on the ground. Something I really miss down here in the tropics. Simply gorgeous. But where on earth is Nunhide Folly? - I used to live in Tidmarsh and I've never heard of it.

5D & 7D (both gripped), 24-105L, 100-400L, 15-85, 50 f1.8, Tamron 28-75, Sigma 12-24, G10, EX-Z55 & U/W housing, A1+10 lenses, tripods, lighting gear, etc. etc.

Most names have ancient historical origins. I don't know in this case, but I wouldn't mind betting that "Nunhide" was where some nuns hid at some point. Many place names in Britain come from Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Roman, and even earlier roots. They weren't invented because people found them cute!

Ugh...brick walls.;)
The first few shots were shot at 1/100. Looks a little soft too.
Very difficult to judge IQ on any of these. Why can't people test out lenses properly?

what I've noticed so far, from all the samples on the web:

There are oval highlights on the side, just like the nikon.
The bokeh seems very nice, which is consistent with the 50.
The bokeh highlights don't seem to have that orange thing going on, though there is some fringing in some cases.
Sharpness is up in the air. In close portraits it looks very nice. But farther away is hard to tell. Unknown if it's the photog or the lens.
Colors are nice, but again, that is subjective to the system. We'll see soon, I hope how they are on nikon.
Focus speed is fast. I like that.

Thus far, the sharpness thing is a concern, otherwise, I think it's a very viable alternative for the G. In some cases (bokeh and highlights), the results look better, but again, the sharpness is a concern. (whether or not it's a focus shift type of thing too..or the photog)
