Oh Permie, you know that Steven uses vivid mode, then sets saturation, vibrance, contrast, and clarity to 100, come on! :D

It really looks like that. The Philippine Island has some of the best sunsets in the world ;)

AF-S lenses have fast and accurate AF. G series lenses great coatings. eg 24-70 F2.8 AF-S G is top notch.

If it costs more than $1500 USD it's good! Haha.

Actually, they do sort of have a designation, but it's not lettered for some reason. I figure they think the same way I do - don't need a special 'pro' designation, the pros will know what they need, and will use whatever lens gets the job done. That said, the lenses that would be considered equivalent to L lenses have a gold ring around the front of the barrel much like Canon's red ring. Take a look at the 14-24, 24-70, 70-200, 200-400, the big primes, etc. You'll see what I mean.

ok here's the Manila sunset I shot yesterday... would you believe this is SOOC, just uploaded to lightroom, resized and watermarked.. Neutral Picture style, underexposed a bit

the sun was very colorful D700 + 70-300mm VRII

That shot was SOOC, no whatsoever and Neutral Picture style :lol: I have some more of those
