I've had zooms at 17, 16 and 14 and then the 12-24mm. The 12-24mm is just in it's own league really. Yes it's got it's own issues optically, and filters are a PITA (but less so than the 14-24mm) but 12mm is just too much fun to resist. My Gear List

Adjusted it the wrong way! Some of the adjustment directions are the exact opposite of Canon's. Takes a bit of getting used to but they make more sense. Mike

MF landscapes, portraits is one thing - Macro is another Hrm, spray and pray landscapes + focus stacking? Put it on a tripod, set focus to infinity and fire off full FPS and rack focus from infinity to MFD over a period of 16 frames. Not that it's at all necessary, but it's a funny thought...

My assistants shoot with D70s and D80s and the noise is horrific even viewing an image at 50% at ISO 800. My 20D definitely seems to beat both cameras. Does the D90 do to the Dxx line what the D300 or the D3 did for their respective camera lines? Gear list

slick2000 Member 32 posts Joined Apr 2009 More info | the IQ of the D90 is identical to the D300 (I own the D90 and my brother has the D300), the performance in low light are 99% the same, the D70 and D80 was not good at all from ISO 800 and up.
