You guys crack me up.

Oh and I sold the 40D, I needed the $600 to put towards the new camera! I also sold some EF-S lenses and my flash. I have 6 months to pay it off, I'm selling all kinds of stuff to fund it. Then hopefully I'll start making/saving some money and get some new glass and a 2nd body.

glad i wasn't the only one to pick up on that.

Yeah, the checking account I opened wasn't just for the new camera...it will be a place to stash funds for the day I get up the nerve to leave.

That's actually a rather interesting product. I've carried two cameras on occasion, and that would certainly make it easier.

I actually have a friend with the single version of the strap. It works really well and I have been thinking of getting one. THe only down side is that the metal on the fastening clips can scratch the camera. He actually put a scratch across the word "MENU" on the back of the camera.

Stashing funds in a bank account is BS, buy silver or gold bars, they are easy to carry, they are accepted worldwide without exchange fees and their prices are raising, while the value of US dollar (or whatever you deposit into your account) is falling.

Gold is easier to carry than a plastic card?!

now that you have TWO bodies, you need this

seriously, go down to a camera shop (most are starting to stock them) and try em out, i like the harness, but the single straps are amazing too... worth every penny)

That's a cool system

IIRC she stated her husband was a lawyer; sounds like a life of misery for the next bloke; nothing is worse than someone with a handsomely paid lawyer, save of course, for someone who IS a lawyer and doesn't have to pay themselves.

Don´t you see any difference between money and a plastic card? Btw if you carry also a terminal, gold is easier to carry. (When a beggar asks me for some money, I always respond with a question if he accepts credit cards).

LOL Money (like the plastic card) is an abstract representation of something of real value. I suppose those little paper things in my wallet (not too many of them unfortunately) are worth nothing?! :p :p

Yeah those terminals can get heavy. Depends where you're fleeing to I suppose. Personally I wouldn't flee to the middle of a desert (dessert maybe). ;)

Oh and you can't cancel your gold if it gets stolen. ;)

No no no... this is a very common opinion but it´s not true. Money is something that has real value. Banknote (Do you see the name? It´s not money, it´s just a note written by some banker) was an abstract representation of money... but it´s not anymore. Why - I will explain it later.

In fact yes... or better said they are only worth the trust; the trust that if I accept them, I will be able to get something for them in the future - but nobody knows what.
Many years ago they were worth certain amount of silver as you can see below, on every banknote there was a sentence saying: "Silver certificate. This certifies that there is on deposit in the treasury of The United States of America one dollar in silver payable to the bearer on demand" but now it´s just something like Monopoly notes - you can buy an avenue with it but not because it has some real value but only because the rules say it must be accepted as something valuable. Once the rules change or you decide to start playing another game, it will be just worthless paper.

If you want to own money (not banknotes), you must start using this:
