No way - 7D is AWESOME for sports. 5D is awesome for everything else. The 5D Mark III won't replace the 7D for most people.

Yeah, after seeing the 5DIII specs I think I will just buy a 7D to use along with my 5DII.

That's the lens. I wound up selling it here. I mark stuff as US only but will help people out but I won't fudge customs forms. I'm one of those people who get nailed for everything even if no one else gets busted for it.

If I buy camera gear from Hong Kong, they fudge the forms without asking.. They won't even give you the option of paying!

I am usually honest but the prices here are outrageous!

So when I gave a mate some money and he happened to send me a present in a big white box I didn't complain it's kiiiinda a grey area- at least that's what I told myself

Just by the number of points? It most certainly is not the same AF in the 1D X. It will be interesting to see what they disable on it.

Rating images before importing them to the computer.

I have long waited for canon to implement this. I have envyed (spelling?) my nikon friends, they have had this since D700 (maybe even earlier).

It's great if you have veeery short deadlines to be able to rate your photos right after you are done shooting to quickly get your photos uploaded/sent wherever almost instantly.

Ofcourse, for most people this is a usesless feature. But photojournalists etc who want/needs to be speedy about getting their photos out there, it is a welcome feature.

But i find it wierd that they have their own button just for that.. Maybe it is for something else ^^

So it does look like Canon and Nikon swapped places from the D700 and 5D2. I imagine the 5D3 has better low light performance now, which is of most interest to me. I won't be upgrading soon, but when I do it will be for the 5D3 and not the D800.
