Well if it rains the first thing I'd do with my D700 is to take its raincoat out :p.

heheheh, right on....but what, technically speaking, does the camera do while it's in "HDR mode"? Will it take multiple exposures and combine them automatically into one file?

Probably exactly that... I have a Sony Nex and it has this exact feature (although only when shooting jpg's).

It appears some people are just coming over here and posting stuff without reading the thread.

Open your eyes. There are loads of people who wants a high MP camera.

I'm not one of them tho.. At least I don't think I am.

why isn't there any chatter about the sigma 46mp camera?

I think the word here is "more" not "fully". Neither camera is waterproof.

The word 'more' is used alot when comparing the two cameras, dont you think?

That was posted a few hours ago here. Word is it will be $3500 but no confirmation yet. That site is in Australia and they get screwed on pricing.

I love the spec list, hate the price! Under $3,000 and I would pre-order in heartbeat. At $3500 though, it is tough... I would have to sell a lens to afford it, sadly :(

The BIG question is, when is the actual release date?

May? Delayed until August? Then September? Maybe just release January 2013 :p

Smart of him. Set your prices well above what the MSRP will be. Profit off of the hysteria/excitement.

I believe while in HDR mode the camera will take a succession of images and create a HDR image in camera. Would be a great feature if this is true.

This type of feature has been available in other systems for a while now but only output in jpeg. :(

Because it isn't really a 46MP camera, it's 16MP.

Hmmm, a curious feature. Not that I do a lot of HDR, and I enjoy subtle HDR more than the comicbook-like HDR.

How configurable is the HDR on your Sony? Do you have parameters you can dial in, or is it just sort of a green mode HDR?

So do the last few iPhones (and I suspect several Android phones).

Is that a native ISO of 25,600 :) :)

I have high hopes for it's low light capabilities. Could be a home run for what I want, depending on price
