Light was pretty drab, kinda wish the color was not so dull. Shot for a few minutes then went out and had a fun surf.

I find it very difficult to shot surfing in the mid/late day as I haven't figured out how to expose properly with the sun staring right at me. Your shot looks really good! The best part about it is you were able to get a good session in for yourself!!

Thanks,
Ya shooting in mid day light can be a tricky thing. It was slightly overcast which made it a bit easier.

I have not found many tricks either than to shoot RAW and try to make the flat contrast pop in post.

That looks like a fun little right. Glad you got a surf in too.

That's a great photo. As a surfer that photo grabbed my attention because it displays a sense of possibility. For example, I think to myself, "wow, that's a steep little pocket right there, with a very makeable shoulder. I bet that guy, if he works it right, can get a nice little barrel."

Which begs the question: Did he get barreled?

Thank you. bw!

brrr...nor cal waters, thick westuits, and booties. Nice shot and like that it is pulled back vs. cropped in tight.

Ya, he got slotted and boosted a giant air that he did not quite land. He is a very good surfer.
