Zion- Desert Bighorns

Took these yesterday in the rain. I definitely need some longer "L" glass. This is with the 55-250.

Good shot, Kurt. I saw quite a few there last summer. I think the herd is growing.

Thanks Stan. We did see around 40 in one group last year. It seems like we see them or signs of them on most hikes.
Man, I really want a 100-400.

Kurt, do these guys hang around all year? Are they accessable during the summer?

Yes I see them year around. At times they are harder to find, but always there. Longer glass would be a huge benefit most times. They are always located on the East side of the Tunnel.

Utah has a tunnel ? ?

Up until today I had thought that Utah was a lake and a couple of Temples. There must be more to the state. I guess I should have paid better attention in US Geology (about 45 years ago)...

OK, Where is the tunnel?

Zion, East side. 2 actually.

I was there last spring, they were near the road and posing as if they were professional models.
