I'm relatively new to photography and in need of some advise. I have a CANON 300D and need to choose a flash. My photographs are mainly portraits and using the built-in flash, the pictures turn out too white. I am on a student budget, and it seems canon flashes are a bit pricey. Are there any cheap speed flashes that I could use for fill-in flash? my price range is under $200.

420EX is better than the on-camera flash.

just don't get the sunpack 5000. It won't work with your camera. And their customer service is terrible
