Looking through my Kenya shots (again) and thought I would share some cute baby shots.

Actually, #3 is an adult. It's a species called a dik-dik. And if I had to guess, he's a Kirk's dik-dik. They are one of the smallest antelope species. Regardless, though, it is an awesome shot! Heck, all of your shots are something to be proud of!

:o I knew somebody would catch me out. Still cute however.

I have to say I am quite proud of my shots with the new 7d, cannot wait to get back to Africa and try again.

Great photos! Really like the zebra and monkeys. Surpised to see the photo of the dik dik, those guys are pretty hard to get close to. Headed to Namibia and SA for 3 weeks in May, can't wait! I'd be very interested in knowing what lenses/equipment you used.

I fish because that's what the voices in my head tell me to do.

I took the 7D which I had for a week before so bit of a learning curve, and the 450D as a backup. (Spoke with a poor French guy who's 500D would not read any memory cards so glad I had a backup although I didn't need it)

Lens was mainly 100-400mm but I hired a 17-55mm 2.8f for some landscape stuff.

Bet you are looking forward to May, am sure you will have an amazing time. :D

Thanks for the warning on the cute factor. I wish more folks would do that with spider photos... icky. But these are very cute. Nice shots.

I Love them all! But what animal is in #3, the nose looks painful because of how it appears to be inverted even though I'm sure that's how it's supposed to be :( The last one, of the baby elefante is my absolute favorite though!

No. 3 is a Dik-dik (external link) and the nose does look funny but is designed to get between the thorns on the bushes it feeds on.;)
