I have an Xsi body with Sigma 30mm prime. I currently have an extra $800 for this hobby and just wondering if I :

1) upgrade the body
2) buy Tokina 11-16 & and Canon 85mm prime
3) Sell the Sigma 30 and buy a 35L PRIME?
4) Canon 15-85mm

I love to shoot indoors with great bokeh! I also would like to use it as my walk around lens for urban photography. I`m not so much into wide angle landscape. Maybe will start shooting fine arts photography too. Sigma 30 is very nice and capable lens. This will be hard to let it go...

What ya think???

I like option 2. Supplement not replace what you have.

I like your collection of lenses. How`s the 60 macro as a supplement to the 30 sig? Is it a sharp lens as a walk around tele for the crop, aside macro capability?

Option 2 will give your photography the most bang for the buck, imho.

Option 2 here also... The body is fine and buying glass will open up a lot more to your shooting...

All the world's indeed a stage and we are merely players performers and portrayers.

I love to shoot indoors with great bokeh!

That eliminates options 1 and 4 and takes the gloss off 2 too.

I also would like to use it as my walk around lens for urban photography.

Scratch 1 and 2.

I`m not so much into wide angle landscape.

No need for an 11-16 then - more marks off for option 2.

Maybe will start shooting fine arts photography too.

I don't know what this is. If it's photography of existing art, then a macro lens may be what you want.

Sigma 30 is very nice and capable lens.

But the 35L is nicer!

Option 3.

You should have put this in a separate post rather than editing your original one. It makes all the opinions invalid since you changed your original post.

I am saying that because I do not recall seeing this part when I made my original post.

Thanks...my collection is designed for croppers. Im happy with it, but would love to replace my 50-150 with the new 70-200 IS 2.8 :) The 60 has opened my eyes to a new world of macro photography. The 60 is extremely sharp, fun to use and versatile enough to be used has a walk around lens, but telephoto is not its strength.

The 60 is a specialty lens, a better compliment to the 30 is the 85/100mm
