In the last thread someone suggested I shoot towards Polaris, which I attempted to do in this set. I think I succeeded since all the stars appear to rotate about an axis point.

During the shots, my loving neighbors turned their porch light on so I created two images instead of one since the light ruined the shot. In the second one, you can see clouds rolled in as well. In the second shot there were at least two shooting stars but you can only see the very bright one. I'll upload a video eventually to Youtube and you can watch the whole thing in time lapse. :)

Also, I know there is a mighty dust spot on the bottom right. I tried editing it out but my skills in that realm suck.

Thanks for your feedback and thoughts.

Nice, I've been striving to accomplish that exact shot. Care to share your settings?

Aside from what you see on the side of the photo, I shoot in continuous mode with a cable release so I can lock the shutter and have it shoot continuously lol for as long as I choose. I shoot 30 second images and combine them with the software from www.startrails.de (external link) - it's very simple software. I also make time lapse videos from the images with the same software. I'm just waiting till later to upload it since it really bogs down my internet connection.

Thanks.
It's air traffic. If you could see it, in the bottom left corner there is a TON. It's too faint though. I live near McChord AFB and the flight paths of SeaTac.

Star trails with that bridge should look great, especially if the water's still enough to pick up some reflections.
