When I had my 1DsMK3 I always liked my 24-105 or 70-200 for a walk around lens. going to the zoo, I would probably opt for the 70-200. You have a great camera there! Congrats.

Wow, you got a steal of a deal on that one! Wait, your title says 1DSIII, your post says 1DSII..... which is it?

To answer the lens question, my 24-105 lives on my 1DsIII as a GP lens.

Congrats!!

I've got some advice....not sure if it's GOOD or not ! 70-200 2.8
I use that lens more than any other single lens I have.

I love the 70-200 for some stealthy but great photos

the best compromise between wide angle, and reach would be the 24-105 though

Congrats Friend. That's a great buy.

Perhaps less use in a museum but for everything else, get the 70-200 2.8 IS

Enjoy

Congrats. Pick up a 24-70 + 70-200 and you'll be set.

Gotta agree with Mikey on that. Those are my two most used lenses. Add the 1.4 TC in there, and I can cover about 95% of my shooting situations.

a mate of mine is using the 28-300 if you only want 1 lens for now that should give you versatility
