I plan to add a 580EX to my 430EX and even contemplating of buying two Chinese clones for indoor portrait use...
what stands, mounts and brackets, booms? would you recommend.

I bought some Hong Kong specials. My light stand fell over once and it completely bent the umbrella in half. I would not hesitate on the above package.

I highly recommend these also. With or with out using radio triggers, I find the flashes fit better. I leave them permanently attached to the stands.
