Yea that is kinda a problem...but its almost impossible to account for every browser and every screen size.

Instead of imbedding your smugmug gallery into your site, why not make your smugmug look like your site?

Because, I dont think they give you access to the CSS and your own domain until you are a Pro customer...Which is a $110 difference (not 20 as someone mentioned). Although there are ways around that I i will do it once I get some more time.

Think eventually I can just write a script to scrub my page and execute all of SM scripts without ever being a Pro customer. Just takes work and time...I dont have.

You can customize smugmug with the "Power" user (which is only $20 more).

And use your own domain.

I can understand the screen resolution issue, but 1280x800 is a pretty common laptop resolution its not that uncommon.

Hello there

I have just signed up with SmugMug a few days ago and haven't customised the site much, using mainly the defaults. I even like it like that.

Here is the link, let me know what you think of the sites and the photos.

One thing I still haven't figured out, on Flickr there is quite a bit of community element; friends, groups ... but not so on S/M, or am I missing something?

I expect this will be a constantly evolving page/site as I get better at customization, have more stuff to share, and get feedback.

I've not really had or made the time to keep up with my SmugMug site, which I primarily started to post concert photos from shows I've attended. Most of the photos were taken with the Canon Powershot S1, S2 and S3is, as these were cameras I could sneak into most venues and still get decent photos. As the cameras evolved, I upgraded...stopping at the S3 because the newer models ditched the high speed continuous shooting mode, which I use constantly. The photos were taken because I wanted to have some souvenirs to look back on. But people would constantly hit me up at shows to email them photos, which got to be a big drag. So I started the SmugMug thing so peeps could get a few souvenirs for themselves. I obviously have a lot of work to do as most of these are not full galleries (there are a few exceptions). Am always interested in feedback...Thanks for looking.

Brad

I have had a personal account for a couple of years. I recently set up a pro-level account to sell some photos in my kids' upcoming football and soccer seasons.

The site is actually built with Wordpress and the SmugMug portion customized to match. I have not uploaded very many photos yet and I am still arranging the galleries, but here is a link directly to the SmugMug portion of the site.

I recently overhauled my site.
I thought I would share the new look.
