How about a forum dedicated to available light photography....?
It seems I see a lot of threads asking for help about this...
about exposure, about focusing, lens choice.....
Anyone have any thoughts?

Just in some cases, what's available is what you bring with you and in others it's what you find. In most cases, people asking about shooting in "available darkness" are more concerned with shooting their particular genre in those conditions than in the conditions per se, so the questions are probably better addressed in the existing talk forums on the respective themes, like Sports Talk, People Talk, or Urban Life and Travel Talk. Feb 08, 2010 11:40 | #3 I guess the generally accepted term "available light" photography isn't as accurate as it could be to you....but come on, the term doesn't mean available darkensss...really, you know that.... The techniques appropriate to one won't necessarily be appropriate to the others. And that's the crux of the matter. How many "Which lens?" or "Which body?" questions are immediately met with "What do you (want to) photograph?" This is no different really. The specific needs in presenting the subject have as much bearing as the actual light levels present, if not more, on technique. Jon
