Well, as you know, it's pretty hard to keep an 18 month old still. I was lucky to get this. Unfortunately my 2 favorite shots were messed up by some foreground elements. On one I attempted to "photoshop" out with little success. On the other I just didn't know what to do.

I think these look pretty good! Nice job blowing out the background. Did you PP it or blow it out with lights?

# 1 and #5 are a little overexposed in his face, but other than that I thing they are really good. He is really cute! What did you use for your background? I really like the way you can see a slight reflection.

The overexposure in his face is probably due to the PP I did. I only have 1 light for the background and that was not enough, so I tweaked the background in PP. In doing so, some of my dodging got onto the side of his face. The background is seamless white paper - which was not so seamless since I taped 2 pieces together. I had to clone some of the visible edges. The floor is 1/4" 4x8 sheet that I bought at home depot. I forget what it's called but it already comes with one side white.

Thanks for the comments.

Nice series.

It's too bad that something snuck in on the bottom of the last one.

Yeah, I am the most upset about how that turned out because otherwise it's the best shot I got. It's a mannequin head I use for practice.

great shots! I believe the board is called tile board in your local hardware store. Very inexpensive as well!

The third one looks like he's kind of floating! lol Other than that I think they're great....a fantastic momento of his age.

Yeah, that's what I was talking about in my original post. I was trying to eliminate a really bad foreground element and wiping it all clean was the only way I knew how.

Lovely pictures!

Brandy :D I'm not claiming to be an awesome photographer, so there's no need to tell me I'm not one, but I am claiming to be a new photographer who's learning and trying to be the best I can be at it ;) My recently new website, which is temporary until I can afford a real one!~ www.free2bemephotography.weebly.com (external link) ~ Currently using a Canon Rebel T1i EOS 500D
