So I have a few questions out to the seller on manufacturer name and part #s for the additional lenses, tripods, and memory card, but I would love to hear what the forum thinks of this deal.

http://cgi.ebay.com …iewItem&item=140388622974 (external link)

Assuming the additional items are decent quality I need them all and I can get the complete package for ~$1200 using buy it now and various cashback options.

Would love to hear this forums thoughts.

Thanks in advance

abmad, the wide angle and telephoto lenses are worse than useless..along with the other 'stuff(ing)'. You can do MUCH better getting a body only and a nifty fifty or a body with the kit lens.

Thanks Koui! I held off on buying after seeing your note. I then went to the gym, came back home and had an email from nowinstock.net (Thanks again Firebird) saying Adorama now had the camera in stock. My T2i is on it's way! I haven't been this excited about a piece of electronics in a long while. <insert man dancing>

Do they even say what the extra lenses are? They just seem like lens attachments, which are worth about $0.05, imo.

I got my t2i 18-55, 55-250, grip + xtra battery for cdn$1280 (so like usd$1250). All Canon products purchased through Canon. Well worth calling and getting a corporate price, rather than retail.

LilFreek, I just tried and the canon rep claimed the grip and the lens were not in stock. She said she shows they are not even selling the 55-250. *sigh*

I just ordered it this morning and just called and confirmed they have it in stock to satisfy my order. I'm going to be pissed if they somehow got this mixed up.

Hello, newbie here (both to this site and DSLR!)

I was wondering if there was a consensus on which SD card is the most trouble free / reliable SD card for capturing HD Video?

I am currently using the bundled Kingston 8MB SDHC (Class 4) SD card that came with the Kit I package I bought here in Asia (I am based in Singapore) and while its fine for stills, I am having horrible buffering problems and I constantly get the "Video Has Automatically Stopped" error.

Thanks in advance!

sandisk (class 6+) is probably your best bet. anything below class 6 is inadequate for hd video. canon recommends class 6, but i went with class 10 just to be safe.

Low level format the card in the camera.

Don't delete single shots because it can fragment the card and slow it down.

Can I low level format from the camera itself or should I just do it in my computer?

T1i can low level format so T2i surely must be able to as well.

It's a good idea, I'll try that.

Let the camera do it.

Then do not delete any individual pix or vids so you don't fragment the card.

No bragging list - I just rent whatever the job requires.
