The average video recording distorts concert sound so bad that you usually can't make out the vocals. I like the bands' reference to the narration at the beginning of Van Damme's movie Cyborg. kcisland wrote in post #10486720 "Here is some concert footage LaFaiNe I would be interested in knowing your workflow with the video. I recently took footage of a vacation on my T2i and am pulling my hair out trying to get the best quality video trying to convert .mov files to .avi to use is a workable edit program. What video editing program do you use and what kind of conversions? Thanks for any help. Flickr

It handles most formats and offers a lot of conversion options. Best of all, it's freeware. And there are no time limitations or watermarks. If you can find version 2.20, opt for that over the latest version 2.30. Thanks for the reference. The latest version seems to be 2.40 and I can't find any earlier versions. Why do you suggest 2.20 over 2.30? 5D & 7D (both gripped), 24-105L, 100-400L, 15-85, 50 f1.8, Tamron 28-75, Sigma 12-24, G10, EX-Z55 & U/W housing, A1+10 lenses, tripods, lighting gear, etc. etc.

Every version I used up to 2.30 has had a smooth install with the option to disable the little ebay desktop icon option (freeware needs sponsors too), but version 2.30 was hit and miss with some people on it installing a browser ad-in (not malware, but annoying all the same). A few of us had the problem, most did not. I'll have to check 2.40 to see if they cleaned that up. Otherwords it has been an excellent program.
