Really nice shots (as usual)-- any specific reason/thoughts about using the 135L vs 70-200?
This rink is horrible for light and with the f2.0 of the 135 I can shoot at 2500 ISO and 1/500 and not 3200 or higher. I end up using ~2.2 or 2.5 to get a bit more DOF, but that extra little bit of stop makes a big difference in terms of avoiding 3200 ISO and higher noise.
If I use my 70-200, I can shoot, at best in this rink at 3200 ISO and 1/400 and f2.8. As my copy is a touch sharper at f3.2 I sometimes boost to 6400 ISO and then use some noise reduction.
All depends on my mood and what action I want to capture. 135 is pretty versatile, although I lose close in shots that the 70-100 range would get with my zoom.
