Messenger bags besides Crumpler?

Anyone have any recommendations for a messenger style camera bag with enough room for the gear in my gear list? Budget $75 or less. Crumpler is a bit too trendy and expensive for my tastes..

I have been using Crumpler (6 Million Dollar Home) for over a year and very happy with the quality and built. Amazon has the 5 Million Dollar Home for around $80 but I am not sure if that meets your needs.

On a side note, my experience with the messenger style bag is that you can get back pain if you have a lot of equipments in your bag and you need to walk around a lot. I think a backpack is better in this case.

I have a Tenba messenger that I like quite well. You can shorten the strap so that it hangs more across your back as well to relieve any shoulder pain, and the strap is very thick and padded. The Thinktank Urban Disguise line is good as well, but might be a little bit out of your price range.

Domke F-802 or the Tenba small messenger bag should hold most of your gear, especially the Domke. Put a Tenba insert in the Domke F-802, and you'll be set:

I recently picked up a Lowepro Nova 190 and love it. Plenty of space, nice and sturdy.

Crumpler is more expensive (partially) because of its thick padding.

I have the blue F-802 with my own inserts (leftovers from other bags) and it is my most used bag. I love it! I can't imagine taking 2 camera bodies with 2 substantial lenses in any other bag. It takes the stuff from my large purse and doesn't even sweat. Such a great bag.

Although a bit above your price range, I love the Tenba Messenger bags that hold computers. The large on B&H is about $100, while the small is $95 (don't ask me about the pricing...). There is a lot of room (plenty for your gear), and then there is the extra section to fit up to a 17" laptop. The build quality is awesome, and there are two features that I dig a lot: 1) The insert is easily removable, so you can have just a standard messenger bag if you need to go to school or work, and 2) with the insert removed from the bag, it is machine washable, something other bags can't do!

If you choose a Tenba, make sure it's the largest one because the medium or small size isn't very big. I got that one. Thought it would great for my 13.3 inch and then one camera with 2 lenses, I can't fit that as my 5D2 can't fit in the center slot without cramming it in.

My small Tenba holds two DSLRs with zoom lenses attached. Also holds a 15" laptop at the same time:

You can move the dividers accordingly to make space in each of the 3 spaces. I suspect that Tenba has changed the sizing and naming in the last few months. I bought it when it was introduced and they only had small and large.

You can buy the Tenba or Domke inserts for $20-$35 and put them into any messenger bag.

I ordered the Tenba inserts and I plan on putting them into a medium sized Timbuk2 Commute 2.0 messenger. It has a laptop slot on the back that can be folded out to go through airport x-ray machines without removing the laptop. It's TSA approved though I have not had a chance to try it.
