Just curious who has a website AND blog AND facebook pages...
What is the need for all three?
Do you put the same information on facebook and blog?
How do you use them?

Facebook is a good way to get your name out there along with the website and blog. Just look at the popularity of Facebook and Twitter and other "social media" outlets.

Facebook is more local for me, it also allows me to reach out to the market I tend to enjoy shooting (DJ's, musicians, mc's, etc) MySpace is almost non-existent in Canada and people tend to use FB more. I had used a blog for awhile but haven't done enough shooting lately to be able to update daily or even weekly and without constant updates there's really no way to build a following. I guess it's something I need to improve. flickr

Inside my website, there is a link to my blog. This is important for SEO or Search engine optimization, in a nutshell it's easier for your name to come up in google search. Also, keeping a blog is a good way to share your experience. As for FB, I use it for networking, updates, and also to post link my website and recent works. The more links, the more likely it will turn up in the search engine. Also, FB is a great way to get updates on many organizations such as doctors without borders, national geographic, local museums, photographers, magazines, etc. I have met many photographers abroad and it's good to see what new projects they are up to. Website is purely for pictures, blog for talking about photography and the events I shoot/shot. My Facebook page has nothing to do with photography. Pull the lever, Kronk!
