Just curious who has a website AND blog AND facebook pages...

What is the need for all three?

Do you put the same information on facebook and blog?

How do you use them?

I have a website and blog but not a Facebook page. Facebook is a good way to get your name out there along with the website and blog. Just look at the popularity of Facebook and Twitter and other "social media" outlets.

If you use face book I would not post any pics that you don't want them to use. here is why

Sharing Your Content and Information

You own all of the content and information you post on Facebook, and you can control how it is shared through your privacy and application settings. In addition:

1. For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos and videos ("IP content"), you specifically give us the following permission, subject to your privacy and application settings: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on or in connection with Facebook ("IP License"). This IP License ends when you delete your IP content or your account unless your content has been shared with others, and they have not deleted it.
2. When you delete IP content, it is deleted in a manner similar to emptying the recycle bin on a computer. However, you understand that removed content may persist in backup copies for a reasonable period of time (but will not be available to others).

I mainly use Flickr and Facebook. Facebook is more local for me, it also allows me to reach out to the market I tend to enjoy shooting (DJ's, musicians, mc's, etc) MySpace is almost non-existent in Canada and people tend to use FB more. I had used a blog for awhile but haven't done enough shooting lately to be able to update daily or even weekly and without constant updates there's really no way to build a following. I guess it's something I need to improve.

If you different ways to show your work (flickr/facebook or any combination) do you post the same pictures and comments or do you make each one unique?

Also, would you suggest putting a watermark on the pictures?

I think that's a personal preference although it would make sense to have same pics. Watermarking would be a good idea personally.

It's great to have all three. I have a website for my portfolio. Inside my website, there is a link to my blog. This is important for SEO or Search engine optimization, in a nutshell it's easier for your name to come up in google search. Also, keeping a blog is a good way to share your experience. As for FB, I use it for networking, updates, and also to post link my website and recent works. The more links, the more likely it will turn up in the search engine. Also, FB is a great way to get updates on many organizations such as doctors without borders, national geographic, local museums, photographers, magazines, etc. I have met many photographers abroad and it's good to see what new projects they are up to.

Yep, same here. Website is purely for pictures, blog for talking about photography and the events I shoot/shot. My Facebook page has nothing to do with photography.

I have a Zenfolio and a blog. No Facebook page yet. Zenfolio is just for photos, so i need a blog, even though I don't usually post photography related things on it.
