Update Firmware Canon G11

Hello everyone,

I just recieved my Canon G11, that I bought online...

When I switched it on, i had a shock, everything was in Japanese!!!
Then somehow, i managed to switch it to English... But only those 2 languages are available in the menu

It is not that I have something against English, but I would like to have the option to switch to German or French (which i understand better)...

Is there a way to install another firmware that contains other languages?

Otherwise I might send the camera back

I just was contacted by the shop, they received a wrong product.
So i'm again without G11

I have the same problem, I get a G11 and it shows only japanese and english languages. The Japanese version of the camera shows only the 2 languages.

Somebody knows how to update the firmware? Is it possible somebody dump the firmware from your camera and post it for us?

After all that mess with the Japanese camera I received a new one with all languages
I was informed by Canon that we cannot change the firmware from the Jap to other...
